A: In order to benefit from the early fee registration discount, payment must be received before the deadline
Q: Can I register onsite?
A: Onsite registration is available during the Congress days. Onsite fees will apply.
Q: Will I receive a confirmation letter after I have finished registering?
A: A detailed booking confirmation letter will be sent to you by email as soon as your registration is completed.
Q: Can I receive an invoice/ receipt under the University/ Institute/ Company’s name?
A: During the registration process, you are required to insert Billing Details, this information will appear on the invoice/ receipt you will receive by email within one month after your payment is complete.
In case of any change of the information requested after the issuance of the invoice/ receipt, there will be a handling fee of 20 € for the re-issuance of the invoice/ receipt.
Q: Can I submit an abstract and present it virtually – is this possible?
A: Physical presence of presenters is required. Unfortunately, there is no option for online presentation.
Q: Can I amend my abstract with new data?’
A: Minor modifications to reflect new data are allowed for your abstract. Alternatively, you can update your presentation only with your new data.

Q: I have submitted an abstract – when can I expect my notification whether it has been accepted or not?
A: Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to the corresponding author of each abstract by mid-February 2027

Q: Can I cancel my hotel booking?
A: Written notification, sent to info@escap2027.eu is required for any cancellation or change to your Accommodation. Refunds will be made as follows (according to the date on the notice of cancellation):
All refunds will be processed within two (2) weeks after the end of the Congress. Bank charges will be deducted.

Q: How do I apply for a visa?
A: Greece follows the Schengen Agreement provision and the subsequent acquis (binding agreement) concerning short term visa issues stays of up to three (3) months in the Schengen area. The citizens of these countries are not subject to border controls within the common area (airlines or other carriers require identification – I.D. card or passport or any other piece of identification issued by a public authority). Citizens of the EU countries do not need a visa to enter Greece (and the Schengen area).

Q: Can the Congress Organising Secretariat send an official visa invitation letter directly to my Local Consulate/ Authority?
A: Unfortunately, the Congress Organising Secretariat is unable to send visa invitation letters directly to Consulates/ Authorities. Visa invitation letters are prepared solely for delegates and are forwarded to them by email.
Q: Where is the Congress taking place?
A: The 22th ESCAP Congress will take place at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (ΜΑΙCC), in Athens, Greece.
