On behalf of the Greek and the European Child and Adolescent Psychiatry communities, we are delighted to invite you to 22nd European Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Congress<\/strong>, to be held in Athens, Greece, from June 24 to 27, 2027.<\/strong><\/p>

The theme of the congress is \u201cChild and Adolescent Mental Health in a polarized World.\u201d<\/p>

Today\u2019s world is marked by profound changes and stark contrasts at National, European, and Global levels that decisively affect the mental health of children, adolescents, and young adults.<\/p>

Continuous and\u00a0\u00a0 successive crises\u2014economic, health-related, political, climatic, migratory and \u00a0\u00a0the wars, constitute a persistent framework of risk factors for mental health and chronic, long-term psychological trauma.<\/p>

At the same time, significant advances have taken place in the research and understanding of mental illnesses, alongside with developments in various forms of psychological therapies and the opportunities brought by technological advantages.<\/p>

The digital age, therefore, profoundly shapes the lives of children and young people and undeniable influences our daily clinical practice, academic endeavors,<\/strong> and research efforts.<\/p>

The 2027 Athens conference of ESCAP \u00a0\u00a0will explore in depth,\u00a0 \u00a0the impact\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 successive crises, the influence of technological advancement, and the progress of research and neuroscience in the field of mental health.<\/p>

We warmly invite you to actively participate in the congress. Athens\u2014Greece, the land of Asclepius and Hippocrates, the birthplace of Democracy and dialectics\u2014eagerly awaits to welcome you with its renowned \u00a0\u00a0hospitality.<\/p>
